Dermatology Medical Assistant - Valparaiso IN

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting comprehensive medical histories. Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures, providing necessary tools and support. Perform basic laboratory tests and handle specimen collection for analysis. Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Manage appointment scheduling and support effective communication within the practice. Educate patients on treatment plans, medication administration, and skincare routines. Ensure examination rooms are kept clean, organized, and stocked with required medical supplies. High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred. Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical role is advantageous. Understanding of medical terminology related to dermatology. Strong communication skills both verbal and written for effective patient interactions. Ability to manage sensitive patient information with the utmost confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a medical setting.
