The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound examinations for evaluation and treatment by physicians and is responsible for the safety and comfort of patients. They also ensure proper procedure ordering and provide training and guidance to new staff and students.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and preferably graduate from an accredited school of ultrasound technology. One year of experience in vascular ultrasound procedures is preferred, along with required ARDMS registration within six months of hire.
Education: A high school diploma or GED; Graduate of an Accredited School of Ultrasound Technology or ARRT Ultrasound Registration preferred Experience: 1 year experience in performing VASCULAR ultrasound procedures preferred or equivalent experience as determined by the Imaging Manager. Until licensure has been obtained, registry eligible technologists must work with licensed staff on every shift. Licenses/Certificates: ARDMS Registration required within 6 months of hire. RVT and/or RVS registry completed within one (1) year of hire. BCLS required
