The Certified Veterinary Technician will be responsible for animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, and management of medical and hospitalized cases. Additional duties include administering medications, communicating treatment plans with clients, and assisting in surgical procedures.

Our facility is stocked with the latest innovations in animal health so we can deliver full laboratory and pharmacy service in-house.

We utilize the latest equipment, providing digital radiology, ultrasound, CO2 laser, therapy laser, and twenty-four-hour emergency service.

We are the leading referral site for orthopedic and joint repair, along with more involved surgeries; this enables us to get our clients the help they need efficiently.

We do everything with the goal of giving the pets of Herrin and beyond happy, healthy lives!Our hours of operation are:Monday & Wednesday: 7:30 AM — 8 PMTuesday & Thursday: 7:30 AM — 6 PMFriday: 7:30 AM — 5 PMSaturday: 8 AM- 2 PMWe are closed on SundaysTo learn more about us, go to: https://centralvet.netJob DescriptionJob duties include, but are not limited to:Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises.

Requirements

Candidates must be a Certified Veterinary Technician with an active license and have excellent client communication skills. A minimum of 1 year of professional experience is preferred, along with comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures and safe animal restraint techniques.
