The Ophthalmic Technician performs data collection and diagnostic testing as delegated by the physician to assist in patient diagnosis. They also assist physicians with minor surgeries, laser procedures, and injections while maintaining sterile technique and instrument maintenance.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience in a healthcare setting, with ophthalmology experience preferred. Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to perform comprehensive work-ups are essential.
