The Chaplain provides compassionate spiritual and existential support to patients and families as part of an interdisciplinary hospice team. Responsibilities include conducting spiritual assessments, developing care plans, and offering rituals or counseling aligned with diverse belief systems.
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in divinity, theology, or pastoral counseling and have completed at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education. Ordination or endorsement by a recognized faith group and experience in hospice or healthcare settings are required.
Master’s degree in divinity, theology, pastoral counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution Minimum of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education required; two units or board certification preferred Ordination, commissioning, or endorsement by a recognized faith group Experience providing spiritual care in hospice or healthcare settings preferred Understanding of grief and bereavement processes Knowledge of Medicare hospice regulations and Conditions of Participation Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Proficiency with EMR systems and virtual communication tools Arc Hospice & Palliative Care is an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds to join us in delivering compassionate, inclusive care.
