The Certified Nurse Midwife provides full-scope midwifery care, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum management, as well as gynecologic care in clinical settings. They also perform diagnostic procedures, assist in obstetric surgical cases, and provide education to patients and healthcare staff.
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Nurse Midwifery and possess a valid Michigan Registered Nurse license and Certified Nurse Midwife certification. A minimum of one year of advanced practice experience in midwifery is required, along with BLS, NRP, and Electronic Fetal Monitoring certifications.
Certified Nurse Midwife- American Midwifery Certification Board. Basic life support required. Basic Life Support required. Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 6 months of hire.
