Responsibilities

  • The Cath Lab RN delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care by applying the nursing process during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. This role prioritizes safe, efficient care delivery while coordinating closely with physicians and the procedural team in a standards‑based practice environment.
  • Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac and vascular procedures, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring safe, efficient, and coordinated care.
  • Administer medications and moderate sedation while maintaining continuous patient monitoring and safety protocols.
  • Prioritize and manage patient care in a fast‑paced procedural environment, using time and resources effectively.
  • Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery expectations, and follow‑up care while supporting an excellent patient experience.

Qualifications

Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse License required

Education: Minimum ADN preparation
