The Physical Therapist Assistant administers direct patient care and monitors patient progress in accordance with physician prescriptions. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate medical records, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Candidates must hold an Associate's degree and a current New York State license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Additionally, 1-3 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
Assists in administering physical therapy care programs; monitors and communicates patient’s progress to Physical Therapist and other medical/ allied health personnel. Maintains medical records for each patient.
1.Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. 2.Current License to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed. 3.1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
