About the role

The IV Infusion Technician is responsible for performing IV insertions, administering therapies, and monitoring patients for adverse reactions. They must also maintain strict safety and infection control standards while accurately documenting clinical notes.

Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IV Infusion Technician to join our growing infusion team. This role requires advanced proficiency in venipuncture, IV therapy administration, and patient care. The ideal candidate is confident, efficient, and capable of handling complex cases with minimal supervision.

  • ## Key Responsibilities
  • Perform IV insertions with a high success rate, including difficult sticks
  • Administer IV therapies, injections, and infusions according to established protocols
  • Monitor patients during treatments and respond promptly to adverse reactions
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety, infection control, and compliance standards
  • Accurately document treatments, patient responses, and clinical notes
  • Prepare and manage infusion supplies and equipment
  • Provide a calm, professional, and reassuring experience for patients
  • ## Required Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in IV placement and infusion therapy (minimum 2–3+ years preferred)
  • Demonstrated expertise with difficult venous access
  • Current certification/licensure (RN, LPN, Paramedic, or Certified IV Technician as applicable by state law)
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and clinical protocols
  • BLS/CPR certification (required)
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • ## Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in wellness infusions, hydration therapy, or outpatient infusion centers
  • Familiarity with EMR systems
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
