The respiratory therapist is responsible for administering diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care procedures as prescribed by a physician. They must also monitor patient responses, manage mechanical ventilation, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient outcomes.
Candidates must hold an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy and possess a valid Florida or Compact State license. Additionally, 2 years of relevant experience and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required.
Education Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Life Support (ACLS)- American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Life Support (PALS)- American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Work Experience 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
