The Medical Assistant provides operational support for clinical services, including supervising medication administration and maintaining accurate patient records. They also handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and coordinating with external agencies.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting is required.

You will have responsibilities including but not limited to: Supervises the (self) administration of medication to patients. Transcribes medication orders and monitors medication records for compliance. Perform accurate and complete audits of medication transported, received, administered, stored, or disposed, as trained, and assigned. Maintain patient confidentiality and conduct in accordance with Phoenix House medication policies and procedures. Enter data into computer EMR software. Answering telephones Update and file patient medical records Scheduled appointments Arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services Correspond with external agencies, pertaining to client(s) as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
