The Registered Nurse provides safe, competent nursing care and professional leadership to the healthcare team within a behavioral health setting. Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments, facilitating psychoeducation sessions, and developing individualized treatment plans for patients.
Candidates must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of South Carolina. A minimum of 6 months of experience in a mental health setting is recommended, with assessment and referral experience preferred.
Performs nursing assessments. Performs group psychoeducation. Performs family psychoeducation. Performs individual psychoeducation. Develops nursing related programs as appropriate. Performs initial precertification and concurrent reviews on PHP patients Tracks daily attendance, admissions and discharges of PHP patients. Participates in the development of treatment plans. Reviews and updates treatment plans as needed. Interacts with community agencies to establish mental health network. Charts every session. Participates in program development meetings. Communicates and coordinates services with supervisor. Assists the Assessment and UR department as needed and able (e.g. answering RESPOND calls).
