We are looking for a talented NP-PA who is interested in a balanced mix of inpatient hospital care and outpatient office care.
Outpatient care will blend general cardiology and heart failure.
Full-time – 40 hours.
Day shift – no weekend, holiday or on call.
Position reports to the Care Center Chief, and Cardiovascular Care Center APP Lead. Perform duties in being responsible for evaluation, care, and management of patients in an outpatient clinic setting or inpatient setting under the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts governing Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant practice. Conduct hospital rounds as directed by individually assigned physicians Assist in the coordination of care and discharge planning Perform exams, episodic illness visits and follow up care visits Ordering laboratory and diagnostic testing and prescribing medications as needed
Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required. Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required. Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required. Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiology is required. Current Massachusetts Nursing Practitioner's License or Physician Assistant License/Certificate is required. Pay Range USD $60.64 - USD $77.65 /Hr.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a relevant field, along with a valid Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner certification and license in Massachusetts. A minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiology is required for this position.
