Responsible for coordinating and providing safe, individualized nursing care for patients in the Labor and Delivery unit. Duties include performing assessments, implementing care plans, and managing emergency situations such as CPR.
Requires a valid Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license and BLS certification. Candidates must be bilingual and obtain ACLS and NRP certifications prior to the end of orientation.
Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Illinois or ability to obtain license two (2) weeks prior to starting employment (must provide proof at the time of interview if already obtained) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must provide proof at the time of interview if already obtained) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to obtain certification prior to the conclusion of orientation (must provide proof at the time of interview if already obtained) Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification or ability to obtain certification prior to conclusion of orientation (must provide proof at the time of interview if already obtained) Bilingual (Testing will be required prior to interview)
Preferred Qualifications: One (1) to five (5) years of acute care or labor & delivery experience LNC-OB or other specialty certification
