The Registered Nurse provides safe and competent nursing care for patients, performs assessments, and participates in the development of treatment plans. They also provide psychoeducation and communicate with community agencies to establish a mental health network.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited nursing program and hold a South Carolina state licensure as a Registered Nurse. A minimum of three years of experience in a mental health setting is recommended, with assessment and referral experience preferred.
Performs nursing assessments. Performs group psychoeducation. Performs family psychoeducation. Performs individual psychoeducation. Develops nursing related programs as appropriate. Performs initial precertifications and concurrant reviews on PHP patients Tracks daily attendance, admissions and discharges of PHP patients. Participates in the development of treatment plans. Reviews and updates treatment plans as needed. Interacts with community agencies to establish mental health network. Charts every session. Participates in program development meetings. Communicates and coordinates services with supervisor. Assists the Assessment and UR department as needed and able (e.g. answering RESPOND calls).
