The surgical scheduler is responsible for coordinating surgical and endoscopic procedures, including obtaining necessary medical clearances and prior authorizations. They also manage patient communications, pre-operative instructions, and follow-up appointments.
The candidate must have experience in verifying insurance coverage and obtaining prior authorizations for surgeries and diagnostic imaging. The role requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week in an office setting.
Description We are a surgical private practice office located in St. Clair Shores and we are looking for a friendly surgical scheduler to help us with scheduling surgical and endoscopic procedures, obtaining medical/cardiac clearance from the PCP or the cardiologist. The job includes scheduling surgeries, verifying insurance coverage prior to procedure planned date, and obtaining prior authorization for surgeries and diagnostic imaging, sending prescriptions and pre-op instructions, follow up with patients and make follow up appointments when needed.
30 am-5pm. This position is an IN OFFICE position and NOT remote work. Job will require knowing how to verify insurances to see if the patient has coverage and obtain prior authorization.
