About the role

The physician will manage a full-time schedule involving both clinic duties, seeing approximately 20 patients per day, and hospital procedures, including managing inpatient rounding and handling consults with support from a Physician Assistant. The role involves a 1:5 call rotation initially, which will transition to 1:3, covering rounds and call duties.

Our robust and community-based hospital proudly offers comprehensive health services for acute and emergent situations.

Services include 24-hour emergency, critical care, medical, surgical, and cardiac services including open heart surgery, outpatient surgery, orthopedics, and imaging services.

With almost 400 physicians on staff, you can be confident we will do our best to provide technologically advanced, high-quality health care.

Responsibilities

  • We are Growing! Clinic + Procedures SCHEDULE: Full- Time Hospital Employed Position TEAM: 3 IC, 1 EP, 1 Physician Assistant CALL: 1:5 (week at a time, 100% rounds/call) – will be 1:3 going forward EMR: EPIC in the hospital and clinic VOLUME: 20 patients per clinic day, average of 20 consults per day with the help of the PA to round.

  • 150 patients in ER / day
  • average 20 admissions / day (50% are cardio consults)
  • 2 busiest in group = 3,500-4,400 clinic visits (2022)
  • Inpatient = 1,400-2,500 patients PAYOR MIX: 30% Medicare | 30% Medicaid | 40% private/commercial PATIENT LANGUAGES: large% of Spanish speaking patients ABOUT: established busy cardiology program 20+ years
