Provides specialized technical support in orthopedics, including the application and removal of casts, splints, and traction equipment. Manages clinical supplies, maintains the cast room environment, and facilitates effective communication between patients, families, and the medical team.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience in an orthopedic setting. Candidates must hold or obtain National Board Certification (NBCOT) and maintain membership in the National Association of Orthopedic Technologists.
Provides specialized technical support to the division of Orthopedics.
Minimum Education High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Minimum Work Experience 2 years experience in Orthopedics or related field (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. Ability to utilize various office equipment. Ability to communicate with patients and their families of divers cultural backgrounds.
Required Licenses and Certifications Must be active member in the National Association of Orthopedic Technologist (N. A. O. T .) 180 Days . Must pass the N. B. C. O. T . certification and/or maintain their National Board Certification 2 Yrs (Required)
