The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide primary care coordination for patients and implement a collaborative care plan as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. Duties include: Assess mental health needs; develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care; administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; to ensure safety and provide consistent therapeutic milieu management and crisis intervention strategies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provides direct care to patients on assigned unit. Administers and documents prescribed medications and treatments. Establishes therapeutic rapport with the patient, provides support and utilizes approved crisis intervention techniques. Available Schedules Day: 7:00am to 7:30pm Night: 7:00pm to 7:30am
Graduate of an accredited college of nursing. BSN or BS preferred. Specialty certification also preferred.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited college of nursing and hold a current South Carolina RN license or a license from a compact state. At least one year of recent nursing experience is preferred, and CPI training will be provided upon hire.
