Overview OBGYN Nocturnist Position Overview Central Maine Medical Center, in partnership with Prime Healthcare, is seeking a dedicated OB Hospitalist / Nocturnist to join our growing Women’s Health team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered obstetric care in a supportive, collaborative environment during overnight hours. The ideal candidate is a confident, clinically strong physician who thrives in an autonomous night role while working closely with nursing staff, medical students, residents and support staff. We do approximately 900 deliveries annually and have a Level II NICU with in-house pediatrics and anesthesia. Nocturnist position (11 shifts/month.   • A competitive salary structure Employment Status Full Time Shift Nights & Some Weekend Days Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. The system includes Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, a 250-bed, not-for-profit regional referral hospital that is home to the region's only Cancer Care Center, an orthopedic ambulatory surgery center, and the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute. CMMC also serves as the central Maine base for LifeFlight of Maine, the state's only medical helicopter service. Responsibilities

Provide in-house overnight obstetric coverage Manage labor & delivery triage, admissions, and emergencies Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections as needed Respond to OB emergencies, including fetal distress and urgent interventions Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and NICU teams Ensure timely documentation and adherence to clinical protocols Support patient safety and quality initiatives

Qualifications

MD or DO, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology Active or eligible for medical licensure in Maine Strong experience in labor & delivery and obstetric emergencies Excellent communication and team collaboration skills Fluent in Lingala, French, Portuguese, or Somali is a bonus Employment Status Full Time Shift Nights Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
