Summary: Description: JOB SUMMARY Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and practices. Duties include assessment of patients, developing plan of care, implementing the plan of care and evaluating plan of care. Position requires a high quality of care in order to meet the Hospital's core mission. Demonstrate knowledge and execute AORN standards and recommendations. Pull cases according to doctor preference cards. Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures. Anticipate needs of surgeon. Review picklist/ preference cards and make updates. Represents Phoebe values and role models leadership characteristics. Follow standard work and policies of Phoebe Health system. Facilitate cases to include verifies all supplies, implants and instruments are available. Meets or exceeds surgeon's expectations. Meets or exceeds surgeon's expectations for all Procedures to include Ortho and Neuro and more. Verifies team members skill set.
EDUCATION Associate's Degree from a state accredited School of Professional Nursing (Required) Bachelor's Degree from a state accredited School of Professional Nursing in from a state accredited School of Professional Nursing (Preferred)
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES Registered Nurse (RN) with current Georgia license (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of hire (Required) Achieve CNOR Certification within 1 year of hire (Required)
ADDITIONAL DUTIES Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization.
Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
Maintains current Knowledge in present areas of responsibility to include any specialty certification requirements (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs).

Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.
For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
Requires an Associate's degree in Professional Nursing and a current Georgia RN license. Must hold BLS certification and obtain ACLS and CNOR certifications within one year of hire.
