Behavioral health technician (Bht) – full-Time days
📍 Mills River, NC 💰 $17.00 – $18.50/hour 🕒 Full-Time | Three 12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Every Other Weekend Required
Pyramid Healthcare at Silver Ridge is seeking compassionate and dependable Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our team. This full-time position offers a three-day, 12-hour schedule (7:00 AM–7:00 PM), providing more days off while making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals recovering from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
As a Behavioral Health Technician, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while supporting clients throughout their recovery journey.
What you'll do
Support client admissions and the intake process.
Monitor client safety and maintain a structured therapeutic environment.
Observe and document client behaviors and daily activities.
Maintain accurate documentation and communication logs.
Assist with medication line observation and report concerns to nursing staff.
Conduct safety checks, room searches, and bed checks as required.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and crisis situations.
Encourage client participation in programming and daily activities.
Assist with facility cleanliness, supplies, and client needs.
Collaborate with nurses, counselors, and the clinical team to support successful treatment outcomes.
Mentor and train new staff as assigned.
What we're looking for
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license required.
Previous experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, healthcare, or human services preferred.
Entry-level candidates with a passion for helping others are encouraged to apply.
