Job Overview

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking an MRI Technologist to join our imaging team at Southdale Medical Building in Edina, MN!

This is a .85 FTE (68 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work the following schedule: Week 1: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 12PM - 8:30PM Week 2: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday 8:30AM - 8:30PM This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience.

The Clinic MRI Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities.

The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.

The technologist is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).

Responsibilities

Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes Performs excellent patient care Performs examinations Identifies relevant data from images accurately Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs. Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional Verify patient identification and documentation Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures Ensures patient data integrity Adheres to diagnostic testing protocols/procedures Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements., completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes

Required Qualifications Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications: 1 year Relevant experience Advanced Certification in MRI

Requirements

Candidates must hold current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and possess Basic Life Support certification. One year of relevant experience and advanced certification in MRI are preferred.
