The Direct Support Professional provides daily supervision, training, and personal care assistance to consumers within a Day Habilitation program. They are responsible for maintaining accurate program documentation, ensuring facility safety, and transporting consumers to various activities.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED and a valid NYS driver's license. A minimum of 6 months of experience working with community human service providers and the developmentally disabled population is required.
Under the supervision of the Day Habilitation Coordinator, the Direct Support Professional is responsible for ensuring delivery of quality services to all consumers served. The Direct Support Professional will be part of an Interdisciplinary Treatment Team.
