The Community Support Worker will ensure the rights and choices of supported persons are respected while assisting with daily living activities and fostering positive relationships. They will also participate in the development and documentation of Personal Service Plans.
Candidates must have a Grade 12 education and a Community Support Worker Diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in community social services or healthcare. Additional requirements include First Aid/CPR certification, a restricted class 4 driver's license, and a criminal record clearance.
As our Community Support Worker, you will work as part of a vibrant team to provide care and support to people living in staffed homes within their community. You’ll encourage and empower the people we support to be independent and self-determining and to live the life they envision while maintaining excellent standards of care, health, and safety. Your natural ability to care for others and work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team will allow you to influence your team’s success.
