How you’ll contribute

Administer nursing care to ill or injured persons by assisting in caring for patients by giving direct care

Coordinate and deliver quality general and psychiatric nursing care to patients hospitalized for treatment of substance abuse, dual diagnosis, or psychiatric or emotional disorders

Assume direct responsibility for observation, delegation, and leadership of the unit staff and patients

Serve actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, supporting the organization, program, and unit philosophy of care

Ensure the safety and well-being of each patient

Ensures all medical orders are followed, initiates and follows treatment planning, and acts as a patient advocate at all times

  • What we’re looking for is a Registered Nurse (RN) who is responsible for supporting the needs of the department with a focus on clinical, operational, and administrative excellence with these qualifications:
  • Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing, valid driver’s license preferred
  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred
  • Basic Life Support certification and Handle with Care (HWC) within 30 days
  • 1 year of experience
  • May be required to work flexible hours

Schedule

3x12/4x10/5x8 + Days (7a-7p)/ Nights(7p-7a) + rotating weekends/every 3rd weekend/every weekend + on call, holidays, etc. (i.e. 3x12, Nights (7p-7a), rotating weekends)

Pay range for this position is $39.15-$52.85 p/hr

Requirements

Requires a current unencumbered nursing license and graduation from an accredited professional nursing program. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience, preferably in psychiatric healthcare, and BLS certification.
