  • Laboratory (EP), including but not limited to: records hemodynamic pressures and computerized data, operates special X-Ray equipment, burns c.d.’s, assists the invasive/interventional cardiologist with procedures using sterile technique and has knowledge of cardiac medications

Responsibilities

Reports for scheduled shift on time and prepared to assume responsibilities. Attends and participates in meetings and is responsible for information. Adheres to Corporate, Regional, Hospital and Departmental policy and procedure 100% of the time.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Minimum: Graduate of accredited program in Radiology Technology, or Equivalent or Graduate of accredited Cardiovascular Invasive program or equivalent (CCI/CVT) or Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program

Experience

One- year experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, EP Laboratory preferred.

Required certification/Licensure/Registration

Radiologic Technologist Radiologic Technology Registration/Licensure as required (ARRT) Florida License CRT RCIS within 12 months of hire required. AHA ACLS Certification AHA BLS Certification Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program AHA BLS Certification AHA ACLS Certification Registry or Certification of Cardiovascular Technologist, RCES or RCIS within 12 months of hire.

Other qualifications

Field of expertise: Cardiac Catheterization/Electrophysiology Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language. Able to perform effectively in a complex, patient centered environment.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiology or Cardiovascular Technology program and possess one year of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization or EP Lab. Required certifications include ARRT, Florida CRT, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and RCIS or RCES within 12 months of hire.
