The Emergency Department Tech assists physicians by providing direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, performing EKGs, and documenting in the electronic health record. They also communicate findings to the Registered Nurse and educate patients and their families on care procedures.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and hold a valid CPR or Basic Life Support certification. The role requires the ability to pass drug screenings and background checks, along with the availability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays.
