More about our team The North Alabama Shoals Hospital Emergency Department offers RNs a fast-paced, team-driven environment where high-quality emergency care makes a real impact every day.

Nurses work alongside experienced providers and supportive colleagues to deliver timely, compassionate care across a wide range of emergency conditions, while growing their skills in a department that values teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered outcomes.

How you’ll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.

Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.

Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.

  • PRN- Shifts Varied What we’re looking for Associate’s degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred BCLS required ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Requirements

Requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and a current RN license in the state of practice. Candidates must hold BCLS certification and obtain ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care certifications within 30 days of employment.
