The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for performing laboratory testing in assigned areas without direct supervision. They must also manage quality control, document failures, and report critical values to physicians.
Candidates must possess a valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license and have a minimum of two years of experience. ASCP registration or equivalent is considered desirable.
Overview As a member of the health care team responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team or unit.
Assists patients with activities of daily living and helps to promote a safe, comfortable environment that fosters the physiological and psychosocial well-being of the patient. Notifies R.N. and/or L.V.N. of relevant changes in the patient’s condition including, but not limited to changes in V.S., level of consciousness and/or pain, breathing pattern, drainage, amount of bleeding, mood, or increase and decrease in capabilities/limitations.
Recent experience in an acute care setting preferred. Graduate from high school or its equivalent. Current CA C.N.A certification, BLS and MAB.
