The Medical Assistant performs direct patient care, including wound care, dressing changes, and medication administration under the supervision of licensed staff. They are also responsible for documenting clinical progress in the electronic medical record and participating in interdisciplinary team meetings.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Medical Assistant school and hold a current state certification. The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds and transferring patients.
Constant ability to read information, including closeup constant ability to use a computer screen; frequent use of good overall vision, including color perception.
