Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including history and physicals, for patients ages 4 and older within 24 hours of admission. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create integrated treatment plans and co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities.
Requires an Alaska Physician Medical license (MD/DO) or the ability to obtain one, and completion of an accredited medical school with Family Medicine residency training. Board eligibility or certification in Family Medicine is required for MD/DO candidates.
Inpatient behavioral hospital.
Full-time or part-time available. Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including initial history and physicals (H&Ps) for patients ages 4+ within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and discharge planning. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to create integrated treatment plans addressing medical and mental health needs. Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities alongside mental health providers. Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance overall health. Provide medical consults and recommend diagnostic tests and treatments as needed. Deliver emergency care within your licensure scope until specialized care is available.
Licensure: Alaska Physician Medical license (MD/DO), or the ability to obtain licensure prior to start.
Completion of an accredited medical school with Family Medicine residency training.
Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Family Medicine (for MD/DO).
