Registered Radiology Technologists operate x-ray equipment to capture diagnostic images, preparing patients, positioning them correctly, operating the machinery, and ensuring high-quality images while minimizing patient radiation dose. Responsibilities also include performing general radiology exams, portable exams, fluoroscopic procedures, and managing image archiving via PACS.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited radiologic technology school and hold current registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, along with state licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Strong communication skills and knowledge of anatomy and pathology are essential for coordinating imaging and providing excellent patient care.
