The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, developing individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and quality of life. They will also track patient progress and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Candidates must have a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy and at least 3 years of clinical experience. An unrestricted license for Physical Therapy is also required, with a preference for those holding a Doctoral or Professional Degree.
Essential Functions-Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical abilities, identifying impairments, limitations, and functional goals-Develop personalized treatment plans to address each patient's unique needs, incorporating both short- and long-term goals-Provide hands-on treatments such as exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities to improve patient mobility, strength, and function-Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes-Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and strategies for self-care and prevention of further injury-Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care-Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and Central Health standards-Participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed of the latest advancements in physical therapy practices-Implement and uphold department policies and procedures to promote a culture of excellence-Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies regarding physical therapy practice-Foster strong communication channels between physical therapy team, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care-Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Master's Degree (higher degree accepted) in Physical Therapy (MPT) PREFERRED EDUCATION: Doctoral or Professional Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist REQUIRED LICENSE: Unrestricted License for Physical Therapy
