Overview

The Mental Health Tech I provides direct patient care and management of patients with medical and behavioral issues under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse by performing non-professional patient care services, crisis intervention, therapeutic interactions and behavior management. The Mental Health Tech I utilizes non-violent physical techniques to de-escalate patients that range in stature from 100 - 300 lbs. Department Description

Licensure

Nurse Aide I Required Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Experience

1 Year Clinical - Nurse Aide Required 1 Year Clinical - Mental Health Preferred

Requirements

Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and a Nurse Aide I license. At least one year of clinical experience as a Nurse Aide is required, with mental health experience preferred.
