The role involves preparing patients for examinations, performing preliminary physical tests, and assisting clinicians with various medical procedures. Additionally, the position manages lab processing, administers non-controlled medications, and maintains electronic medical records.
Candidates must have successfully completed the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam from an accredited institute. Experience as an MA and experience serving the HIV/AIDS population are preferred.
Successful completion of the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam offered by an appropriate accredited institute. Appropriate institutes include the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), the American Medical Technologists (AMT), the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), and the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA).
$17 - $21.24 per hour depending on education and experience.
