The COTA is responsible for providing occupational therapy interventions in accordance with physician orders and the plan of care. They will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and the agency's nursing leadership to serve adult and pediatric patients.
The Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) is employed by the agency and is responsible for providing select occupational therapy interventions.
This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care (POC) under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist (OTR).
The COTA will also report to and be supervised by the agency’s Director of Nursing (DON) or RN supervisor.
