The Mental Health Aide provides direct therapeutic services to residents, including crisis intervention and medication management. They are also responsible for maintaining the physical environment of the residence through cleaning and supply management.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, with an Associate degree preferred. Experience in mental health, substance abuse, or a residential setting is required along with basic writing skills.
The Mental Health Aide position is under the supervision of the management staff and responsible for providing direct therapeutic services to residents of the program. The services include but are not limited to: crisis intervention, medication management, training in activities of daily living. Responsible for maintaining the physical environment of the residence. All responsibilities under hospital and residential policy and procedures.
Basic writing skills required. Experience in mental health, substance abuse and/or residential setting.
Walking up and down stairs while carrying items; snow removal; restocking supplies; sweeping and mopping; cooking and cleaning duties.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, WORD, Excel, PowerPoint)
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred
Location: Staten Island, NY
Pay: 1199 Collective Bargaining Union Rates
