The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory assessments, therapeutic treatments, and patient education for various patient populations. They coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient experiences and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Candidates must hold an Associate degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent and possess a valid Ohio Respiratory Care License. Additionally, they must have NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials and obtain BLS and ACLS certifications within 90 days.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The RRT is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served. The RRT will coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote a great patient experience. The RRT is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies.
