Provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities according to their service plans. Responsibilities include supervising activities, administering medication, maintaining accurate records, and supporting individual self-advocacy.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license with appropriate insurance and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must also be able to pass background checks and demonstrate the physical strength required to assist with lifting and individual care.

What will I do in a DSP position?
As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your responsibilities, aligned with each person's service plan and strategies, include supervising activities, offering personal care training, implementing active treatments, and administering medication when needed. You must always prioritize safety and well-being, encourage self-advocacy, provide informed choices, and maintain accurate records, such as data sheets and incident reports, to meet agency and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will provide insights into individual progress and needs to inform program development.
What will my schedule look like?
Each of our part-time DSP positions has a fixed schedule to accommodate program and individual needs.
The schedule requires working at least four days per week, including Saturdays and Sundays. Depending on the program's assigned schedule, their hours will vary between first and second shifts, averaging 24 hours per week. We are happy to discuss the schedules with you after your first interview.
