The Activities Assistant supports the planning and implementation of recreational and social programs for residents in an assisted living setting. They are responsible for tracking resident engagement, maintaining activity supplies, and ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license. Previous experience in an assisted living or senior care environment is preferred, along with proficiency in electronic health record software.
Activities Assistant, Weekends
The Activities Assistant supports the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs for residents. This role aligns activities with individual care plans while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines, as well as facility policies.
Activity Planning: Assist with planning and implementing resident activities. Resident Engagement: Encourage participation and track resident involvement, mood, and responsiveness to activities. Care Plan Management: Support individualized activity plans by delivering daily programming aligned with each resident’s needs and care goals. Team Collaboration: Communicate with the care team to ensure coordinated resident support. Resident Support: Provide resources for hobbies and crafts, and assist residents with errands, letter writing, and personal enrichment. Supply Management: Order activity supplies as needed, ensure efficient use of materials, and maintain a well-stocked activity room.
Accurately complete and maintain timely activity notes reflecting services provided and resident responses.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must hold a valid driver’s license.
