Minimum Qualifications
- Current Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Completion of a formal surgical technology training program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or equivalent.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and operating room protocols.
- Ability to pass background checks and comply with healthcare facility regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a hospital or surgical center environment.
- Advanced certifications such as Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA).
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and surgical documentation software.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes according to the specific requirements of each procedure.
- Assist surgical teams during operations by passing instruments and supplies, anticipating the needs of surgeons, and maintaining a sterile field.
