Performing diagnostic quality imaging procedures for our inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department population allows for participation as a member of an energetic team that proactively supports delivery of safe patient care and services. This department is tailored for those who are interested in utilizing technology to aid in caring for children in need of radiologic services.

Job Summary

Competently performs a variety of standard, specialty and complex diagnostic radiographic procedures with clinical and technical accuracy.

Responsibly administering ionizing radiation using fluoroscopy, computed and direct radiography (including the use of mobile c-arm and x-ray equipment) to achieve good quality studies under a variety of conditions with little or no supervision.

Demonstrates sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology and radiation physics and image production.

Demonstrates appropriate use of ALARA - minimal technique parameters, collimation and correctly positions patients.

Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice.

Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care.

This position requires a high level of schedule flexibility to meet the demands of a busy Radiology department.

Qualifications

  • Education
  • College Degree - 2 year Radiology (required)
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required)
  • Program Graduate of formal program in Radiologic Technology (required)
  • College Degree - 4 year (preferred)
  • Licenses and Certifications
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
  • CRT - California Radiologic Technologist License - CDPH - California Department of Public Health (required)
  • RHF - Rad Tech/Fluoroscopy License - CDPH - California Department of Public Health within six (6) months of hire or transfer into position (required)
  • RT-R - Rad Tech Radiography - ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (preferred)
  • Work Experience
  • Minimum six (6) months Experience in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
  • Pediatric experience (preferred)
  • Skills and Abilities
  • Bilingual Skills Preferred.
