The Certified Surgical Technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining the sterile field and anticipating the needs of surgeons during orthopedic procedures. They also ensure the efficient handling of instruments and implants while adhering to strict safety and infection prevention protocols.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Surgical Technology program and hold a current Certified Surgical Technologist credential. A minimum of 2 years of orthopedic surgical experience in an ASC or hospital setting is required, along with current BLS certification.
