The Monitor Technician is responsible for observing cardiac monitors and reporting rhythm changes to the nursing staff. All duties are performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and previous hospital experience. A BLS certification is also required for this role.
Overview The Monitor Technician is responsible for cardiac monitor observation and reporting of cardiac rhythm changes to the nursing staff for further investigation when indicated; demonstrates knowledge appropriate to the age of the patients served. All work is performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
Education: High school diploma or GED Experience: Previous hospital experience required Licenses/Certificates: BLS Certification required
