Physical therapists are responsible for treating a wide range of orthopedic, neurological, and medical-surgical cases in both inpatient and outpatient settings to restore function, improve mobility, and relieve pain. This involves examining patient histories, testing physical capabilities like strength and balance, and developing appropriate treatment plans to help patients achieve their functional goals.
A Bachelor's degree is required, though one year of experience may be waived with a strong clinical affiliation recommendation; otherwise, one year of experience is necessary. Candidates must possess a current, valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy license and obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
