The OB/GYN Hospitalist provides clinical care, oversight, and emergency coverage for patients in Labor & Delivery and the Emergency Department. They also support resident teaching, perform emergent GYN surgeries, and assist with clinical effectiveness and quality improvement initiatives.
We are seeking a full-time ObGyn Hospitalist Physician to join our team of highly skilled experts within Stamford Hospital’s main campus in Stamford, Connecticut. Our OB Hospitalists at Stamford Hospital provide care and oversight for patients presenting to Labor & Delivery or the Emergency Department that are from the clinic, present without an attending physician or retained assignment from a private physician. They provide supervision, consultation, and teaching to residents. The incumbent will also provide medical consultation as necessary inpatient coverage of obstetrics and gynecologic patients on other services.
In this role, you will support medical staff utilization management and clinical effectiveness efforts, enhance the quality and safety of in-patient care, complete care of patients admitted to the Hospitalist service.
14 12-hour shifts per month. Mix of days and nights, 7A-7P and 7P-7A. No call.
Candidates must hold an MD license and be board eligible or board certified in OB/GYN. The role requires the ability to obtain EFM certification following hire.
