The physician is responsible for assessing and treating patients' physical health, including conducting exams and coordinating referrals. They also provide clinical oversight to ARNPs, perform minor procedures, and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure integrated care.
Candidates must hold a Medical Doctorate (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree and possess at least two years of post-residency clinical experience. A valid state license, current DEA certification, and board certification or eligibility in internal or family medicine are required.
