About the role

The Radiology Tech 2 performs radiologic procedures, ensures film quality, and maintains high standards of patient care. They are also responsible for educating patients and students while performing necessary clerical and darkroom activities.

Performs radiologic procedures.

Educates patients.

Cross-trains.

5.

Responsible for film quality/QA.

Writes Hx on patient requisitions.

7.

Develops films and performs related darkroom activities.

8.

Performs routine clerical work when necessary.

Interacts with patients (interpersonal skills.) 10.

Patient care skills.

11.

Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers in a manner that reflects Falmouth Hospital’s commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service.

Associate's degree (A.

A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must read and write English.

Radiologic Technologist (Massachusetts License) required.

Basic Life Support Certification.

ARRT within 6 months of hire.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an Associate's degree or equivalent and possess a Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license. Basic Life Support certification is required, and ARRT certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
