The Clinical Pharmacy Technician coordinates and processes medication prior authorizations to ensure patients have timely access to essential therapies. This role acts as a liaison between patients, providers, insurance companies, and pharmacies to overcome access barriers.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and 1-2 years of pharmacy technician experience, specifically in prior authorization or insurance billing. An active Florida pharmacy technician license is required, and CPhT certification is preferred.
00 am-6:30 pm.
The Clinical Pharmacy Technician supports the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care by coordinating and processing medication prior authorizations for patients across all Aza Health (AH) primary care locations. This role ensures patients have timely access to essential therapies by navigating insurance requirements, communicating with payers, and collaborating with providers and pharmacists to overcome barriers to medication access. The Clinical Pharmacy Technician serves as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and pharmacies to streamline medication access while maintaining compliance with all AH policies, payer requirements, and federal regulations. This position reports to the Clinical Pharmacy Services Coordinator.
